The group, whose membership currently stands at over 100, is formally recognised by the International Council for Archaeozoology (ICAZ), abiding by its policy, and includes members from across the world.
The APWG committee, who are responsible for the organisation of future meetings and the promotion of animal paleaeopathology as a viable area of research, consists of the following members:
